The gospel Keynotes began traveling in different states in the early 60's from church to church. The group’s base home was Tyler, TX, under the leadership of Willie Neal Johnson, along with Paul Beasley. The Keynotes broadened their singing career after their recording of Jesus You've Been Good To Me, which was a number one hit song in gospel. The recording of that song put them on concerts with many top gospel groups. Once their career began to expand they performed in the world famous Apollo Theater, in New York City. They then recorded other great hit songs as, That's My Son, Keynotes Prayer, Show Me The Way, and others, that extended their travel from national to international. Even now The Gospel Keynotes are now a hit with fans at home and abroad. Willie Johnson was called home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2001. The Gospel Keynotes manager is Paul Beasley, and Randy Anderson who is now lead vocalist. God has blessed Paul and Randy to keep the group going as Willie Johnson would want it. The group is currently working on a new project. Be on the lookout for it. Success of the group is through God, and we enjoy lifting the name of Jesus. We the Gospel Keynotes thank you for your prayers.
